We all have our lazy days, but keep it fabulous with classy accessories. You can't get much classier than pearls!
Add a small splash of color with accessories or from detail within a key wardrobe piece. It doesn't matter how little or how much color you have, just make sure you have color somewhere!!! Bringing out colors from the tiny details hidden in your key pieces really ties it together (such as I did with the white tank top, matching it with the white drawstring that hangs visibly in my sweatpants; it also matches with my white pearl accessories). I always make sure that somewhere in my outfit I match (if not multiple pieces matching) or make sure my colors are somewhere in the same range or atleast compliment eachother. Everyone knows that blue goes with brown, plus they are beautiful Fall colors; and of course White is one of your basic colors that goes with everything!
Having cute nail polish is really in this year of 2012; I mentioned to add in atleast a tiny detail of color, and your nails is a perfect place to do so. Continue the rhythm and whatever dash of color you used (for me it was the pink color from the 1987 on my sweats) in your outfit throw on your nails. You will look put together- even though you're in a slouchy sweatshirt & sweatpants, and you'll have that fun & flirt look all because of that hint of color you followed through with.
If I were to add anything else to this outfit, it would be a large purse that's roomy hanging at my shoulder or in the hook of my arm. I keep mentioning small details of color and here is another way I would splash some in, making sure it was in the exact shade as the 1987 on my pants (which also matches my nails). Plain purse or a purse with a little extra detail, wither it be studs or a scarf hanging from the handle, no matter what will look good because it follows a color pattern. Try to stay with the exact shade all over, not lighter on the purse then darker on the nails... Even something little like that will begin making you look a little bit sloppy...
A lot of times sweats, and especially pajama pants look trashy when you wear them out in public; why doesn't this? Because they are still nice items, because the outfit looks planned, it has obvious touches of class, and the colors all go well together! Keep those 3 things in mind when you plan out a lazy day outfit:)
